Trend 2: Cross-Channel Personalization, from 9Clouds Automotive Marketing.
If you’ve just happened upon this post, this is the first in a series of posts exploring five key trends that will drive auto marketing in 2015. These trends are going to be happening over the next year and beyond so if you can understand them and get ahead of them, it will really help your store or your dealership stand out. Read about the first trend.
This week brings us to trend two: cross-channel personalization
Cross-channel personalization is all about using personalization throughout multiple platforms. For example, when you send an email to someone in your database, you could say, “Hi [first name]. We hope that you’ve enjoyed your [insert model of vehicle]. We see that you have [mileage number].” This type of email gives the customer a personal experience.
This personalized approach can be very powerful. It keeps customers aware and engaged. It can be even more powerful to take that personalization across email and put it onto your website so we are not only receiving emails saying, “Dear Scott or dear [first name],” but we’re actually going to a website that’s talking to us.
