Award recognizes business partners that deliver the highest quality products and services to Honda employees and customers
St. Louis – Maritz has received the American Honda Motor Co., Inc.’s 2012 Premier Partner Award for not one, but two programs – the 2012 CR-V In-Dealership Training (IDT) launch and the Council of Sales Excellence (COSE)/Council of Sales Leadership (COSL) programs. Maritz was one of only 15 award recipients selected from more than 40 suppliers nominated by American Honda associates, out of more than 1,000 eligible companies. This was the ninth time Maritz was selected for the award.
“Our strong partnership with Honda has allowed us to work closely with their teams to develop tailored programs that have effectively met the needs of American Honda and their customers and driven business results,” said Bill Higgins, vice president and group business manager for the American Honda enterprise account. “The success of the 2012 CR-V IDT and COSE/COSL programs speaks to our commitment of providing high quality programs that excite and motivate key stakeholders.”
The 2012 CR-V IDT was designed to educate Honda sales consultants on both new product knowledge and the most effective skills to be able to sell the new Honda CR-V to prospective customers. The program reached more than 12,000 dealership personnel through more than 1,600 training sessions over a three-month period. At the end of the training session, each participant was asked to complete an evaluation. All elements of the training were rated excellent by nearly all participants. In addition, more than three-fourths of participants accessed and used the CR-V training website, which provided attendee learning sustainment and new hire training.
In addition, American Honda worked with Maritz to evolve its COSE/COSL programs. These programs recognize elite Honda and Acura sales consultants who surpass standards of performance in three critical areas: sales, training, and delivery. These programs are designed to help more than 15,000 sales consultants meet and exceed sales objectives, further develop professional skills, and receive recognition and awards based on reaching different achievement levels.
The Premier Partner Award was established in 1998 to recognize business partners who embrace American Honda’s philosophy of exceeding customer expectations with quality and exceptional service.
