“Social media is helping us to drive sales and give back to the community,” Rene’ Isip, Owner of Toyota of Lewisville, said. “Dallas is a very tech savvy market and through Facebook, Twitter and Toyotathon we are able to bring all the excitement of the biggest sales event in the automotive industry to a local level.”
Facebook fans of Toyotathon not only receive updates about incentives from Toyota of Lewisville, they also receive information regarding car care tips and more recently on how they can vote for their favorite charity. The balanced messaging and the exceptional online presence of the dealership resulted in more than fifteen Dallas areas at-large charitable nominations. Isip’s store, one of the Top 100 Internet Dealerships in the nation for two years running, continues to develop the foundation that keeps them out in front of the competition. Two weeks into the voting process, the charities have received more than 1,000 votes from supportive fans.
As part of this promotion, Toyota of Lewisville also leaned on other social mediums like Twitter to build even more excitement for the donation. With over 4,100 Twitter followers @ToyotaLew is already one of the top Twitter handles in the car business. Moreover, as the only dealership in Dallas to utilize Twitter’s Promoted Tweet program, Toyota of Lewisville is reaching even more tech savvy users on their terms, in their space, in a way that’s comfortable for everyone.
When you add more than 6,000 Facebook likers to the mix you start to understand the commitment that the dealership has to Social Media and the community in which they live.
Halfway through December, Toyota of Lewisville has received 35 leads from their Toyotathon Facebook promotion. With a dozen appointments set and several cars already sold, all the makings are in place for a fast finish to the year.
“The fact that we’re able to get strong leads from social media is great,” said Scott Fly, General Manager of Toyota Of Lewisville. “We’ve reached a tipping point. It’s an entirely new way of doing business.”
Even though the dealership takes pride in being able to track and sell cars directly from their interactions on Facebook, Isip believes that selling cars through social media is only one piece of the puzzle.
